Benjamin Lewis, a Deaf ASL instructor from California, shared his joke about how April 1st is invented by Deaf people! Why? Watch the video by Benjamin Lewis. There are two things in this video: how April Fool was invented and his hilarious true story.

For those of you who are ASL beginners, Ben explained that the dominant handshape of the ASL sign FOOL is an A for April, and the passive handshape of the same sign FOOL is a "ONE" for 1st. Of course, they are nothing to do with the English initials of the words, just an coincidence! Ha.
