At a time in the future; afterward, subsequently, or at a time in the future (sometimes followed by on).
The concept LATER in ASL sentence is not the same as LATE. A few ASL students may be sometimes confused by these two ASL words.
Gloss: see-you later
English equivalent: See you later.
Notice that YOU is integrated into SEE and the sign LATER is informal. It's an everday phrase you see in real life.
Gloss: BYE, SEE YOU LATER.
This five-year-old child is signing in a more formal ASL than the adult signer above. She includes YOU apart from SEE and the sign LATER in a formal register.
