Heh. Yep, sometimes it's easy to impress a hearing person with sign language. An advice for hearing signers on cultural appropriation: do not use sign language for any other purposes than talking with Deaf ASL-speakers. Sign language is not something to be cool or to brag about. Not only signed language is simply natural for us as spoken language is to hearing people, but also sign language is our deeply-rooted cultural core of identity and our Deaf culture and pride.
