ASL sign for HEARING

Meaning: Perceiving sound and vocally speaking (people); of hearing ideology, culture and identity.

Many hearing people don't realize the existence of their identity until they learn of this from the perspective of Deaf people and community.

Some hearing people are also surprised or puzzled that they have what we call "Hearing culture".

It's a very special term referring to hearing friends and allies who share "DEAF HEART" by Deaf Aslians.

Related signs: DEAF, hard of hearing, hearing loss (double meanings).
