ASL sign for: bruise

Definition: An injury appearing as an area of discolored skin on the body, caused by a blow or impact rupturing underlying blood vessels.

Classifier: These "bruise" signs are examples of the location parameter of classifer, in which the movement, orientation of palm and handshape are consistent yet the location changes.

Often the "purple" sign is signed before the "bruise" sign. Eg. "purple" + "bruise".

A bruise around one's eye.
