ASL sign for: doctorate (PhD)

Meaning: the highest degree awarded from a university, graduate school or other approved educational organization.

The passive (left-handed) handshape is a general classifier for "undergraduate". The right "2" handshape would signify the Masters. The "4" handshape, on the other hand, signifies the doctorate level of studies.

Meaning: PhD.
