Though Patsy Ann was "stone deaf", he knew when ships were arriving into Juneau's harbor before anyone else, even long before they came into sight and never failed to greet a ship.

A statue of her likeness sits her favorite spot on the downtown cruise ship dock, not far from her final resting place in Gastineau Channel.

"She never missed a boat."
