Signs for DISLIKE

Meaning: to not like someone or something; to feel distaste for or hostility toward.

Related signs: HATE, LOATHE, DETEST, ABHOR.

Antonym: LIKE.

There are two possible signs. The one as seen in the video above is equivalent to DISLIKE. The other sign (compound) is NOT+LIKE.

One doesn't use the DISLIKE version in an ASL sentence such as "I don't like that!" Use NOT+LIKE instead in a sentence, for example, "IX-me [neg]NOT LIKE THAT BEHAVIOR![neg]".

The transcription symbol [neg] for negation stands for shaking head.
