Signs for RUDE

Be aware of a few regional variations for "rude" in American Sign Language; fingerspelling and one variation are more widely used in the U.S. while the other variation is widely used in Canada. Plus, a few less known variations here and there in some specific regions.

Meaning: Offensively impolite or ill-mannered; rough in manners or behavior; discourteous; insulting.

Regional variation: commonly used in Canada; although, Deaf Americans here and there may use this variation.

The regional variation of this sign is commonly used in the U.S., but it's not common in Canada.

Some Americans also use fingerspelling "RUDE".
