Meaning: Making little or no noise (or "visue"); to make or become silent, calm, or still.

Pronunciation (sign description): Two "B" hands crossed at the hands in front of the face diverge down and apart.

The concept QUIET is not applied to sound only as commonly perceived by hearing people. It's also used in visual modality.
