ASL signs for 'nice'
Learn how to sign "nice" in American Sign Language.
Meaning: Pleasant; agreeable; satisfactory.
Pronunciation (sign description): Dominant flat hand with palm down in contact with non-dominant palm-up flat hand nicely brushes rightward along the palm from the near wrist to the end of the non-dominant hand.
Learner tip: Do not confuse this similar sign with CLEAN. Context as always.
Usage examples: "nice to meet you" (glossed in ASL as "NICE MEET-you"), "a nice guy", "a nice day".
"nice" inflections
For non-beginners, other inflections of 'nice' may convey a few various expressions with specific intonation via facial expressions, such as "Ooh, that's really nice."
