Portmanteau in Sign Language

Portmanteau is a word that is formed by merging two different words. Examples in English are: brunch (the blend of "breakfast" and "lunch") and smog (the blend of "smoke" and "fog"). There are many neologisms that are blends.

Is there such a concept of portmanteau in sign language other than written and speech language? Yes, there is. I recognized a portmanteau when I created a neologism for "ageless" in ASL as shown below.

The portmanteau ageless above is a blend of the two Ameslan words as shown below.

It is age in ASL.

It is forever in ASL/Ameslan.

These two Ameslan words forever and age are blended into a portmanteau ageless.
