Sign-language Art

Sign-language art, as well as sign-language literature, is a body of artistic and literary works in sign language. Poetry, drama, storytelling, film, fine art, and some others are the common practice of literature and art in sign language.

As sign language is visual-temporal-spatial-kinetic, a creative signer enjoys producing a narrative in four-dimensional space-time. Classifiers and other grammatical features are commonly practiced in sign-language art from poetry to narrative. ASL stories can offer an abundant insight into grammatical structure or syntax.
