Speech terminology

All glosses in blue bold font represent utterances in ASL only. They are not translations. Sometimes I'd use translations in quotation marks.

All utterances in blog posts are in the language of ASL, even when I use the terms "say/said", "told", "utter", "articulate", and so on. They are not referred to the use of speech. They are referred to the non-written form of a language (in my case, ASL).

If any spoken utternace is mentioned in posts, the term "vocally speak" will be clearly used.
